The ninth edition of the ICC T20 World Cup will take place in 2024, From June 1 to June 29. in June, the contest will take place in nine different locations across the United States and the Caribbean. It is the first major ICC World Cup to be held in the United States.
The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be played in three of US and six of Caribbean venues as the groups and fixtures for the ninth 20-over exhibition event were confirmed on 5th January.
With 20 nations participating, the T20 World Cup is the biggest yet. Out of 20 teams,10 teams will play their first match in the USA, with 16 contests to be held in Lauderhill, Dallas and New York and 41 matches willbe played in West Indies.
The top eight teams from the previous competition England, Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Netherland and the next two T20I ranked teams Afghanistan and Bangladesh were given automatic qualification, with the exception of western hosts. West Indies and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
The teams that made it through their regional qualifiers are Ireland and Scotland (Europe), Papua New Guinea (East Asia-Pacific), Canada (America), Nepal and Oman (Asia), Namibia and Uganda (Africa).
